IF you are having some kind of error when installing SSDT try to download the .ISO file and run it using "as administrator".
I have issues related to certificates and very (or much?) other people have different issues, but I believe that much of them will be solved using the local installation from ISO.
One of the biggest problem is to download and install some requirements when using the EXE installer, which needs to download almos everything to set up.
